For engaged couples eye-rolling at the thought of more tulle and tiered cakes, the Mill City Wedding Bazaar is your ticket to indie bliss.
Bringing together more than 30 independent vendors and local artisans offering unique handcrafted wares for your big day, bazaar organizers Chhavy Sinuon and Ashley Pizzuti are calling it one amazing party with crazy cool inspiration around every corner.
“For the first time, we have a show that isn’t just focused on the bride. Although we love brides, this event focuses on the couple, and we mean every couple — alternative, the second time around, same sex, the eccentric — there will be something for everybody,” Sinuon says.
Designed to put some fun into wedding planning, you’ll find a little bit of everything from local jewelry designers, florists and confections, handmade favors, gifts, photography, vintage clothes for guys and gals, live music, a craft beer garden spotlighting New England brewers, a bridal flea and DIY demonstrations.
It’s one-stop shopping for couples wanting to connect with area wedding artists and local businesses, Sinuon adds.
So grab your mister or missus-to-be (or just your besties) and head on down to Mill No. 5 (250 Jackson St.) on Saturday, May 9 between 12 and 6pm.
Entering the event and perusing the vendors is free and open to all but to explore, taste and savor free food & beer samples in The Luna Lounge and attend workshops, fashion show and consultations, gain entrance into the wedding flea and receive a swag bag filled with goodies and discounts from vendors, tix are $12.
