Spring is here, and so is the chance to update your wardrobe with fresh new pieces. As the days grow longer and the weather gets warmer, it’s time to get girly with fun and flirty dresses, romantic lace and soft, flowing fabrics.

Here’s some inspiration from the season’s most wearable trends. All clothes featured in Howl’s fashion spread are from Humanity, 128 Merrimack St., Lowell.

Color Pop

Even if you can’t pack up those coats and boots just yet, things will look sunny and bright with a pop of color in your wardrobe. Coral, nectarine, watermelon, yellow, lavendar and cool sorbet hues might be just enough to beat the winter blues

On Kelsey: Neon Rock Dress, $28; necklace, $24
On Bethany: Polk-a-Dot Dress, $38

Timeless Beauty

Nothing is more feminine and romantic than lace. This spring, look for ladylike touches of lace in dresses, tops and skirts.

On Bethany: Western Chic dress, $28

Breezy Fun

Spring breezy dresses

Flowy, comfortable dresses that twirl when you move are in order when warmer weather rolls around.

On Kelsey: The Embellished Dress, $42
On Bethany: Earth Child Dress, $33

Pretty as a Picture

Spring crochet

Tops and dresses with cut-outs on the side, arms or back — like this dark spring green cardi — are the most tasteful and on trend way to show skin this season.

On Bethany: Lace cut-out cardigan, $22

Feminine and Fierce

spring animal attraction

Spring fashion doesn’t have to be all about pastels and florals. Animal prints can keep things bold yet still be girly, like the above dress with peek-a-boo black tulle.

On Kelsey: Leopard print dress, $46

Rockabilly Baby

Bohemian Rhapsody

Melting snow and spring showers doesn’t mean you can’t step into spring style. A floaty floral dress layered with a soft colored, cozy cropped jacket and some tall boots will leave you style-ready for skipping through puddles.

On Kelsey: Pretty in Pleats dress, $40; ultra comfy jacket, $76

Show Stopper

The best part of looking great is turning heads and feeling comfortable. Soft and creamy jersey knits will take you from day to night. Dress them down with flats and dress them up just as easily with wedges or heels.

On Bethany: Dreaming dress, $28

Black & White

Spring blackwhite

In a season that can be overwrought with Easter egg colors, a black and white color combo is sophisticated, classy and easy to wear. We love Kelsey’s striped scarf — a quick, easy and affordable accesory that adds punch to her outfit.

On Kelsey: white jeans, $42; lace tank, $20; scarf and umbrella, both $15

Play Time

On Bethany: black jeggings, $24; beach bum blouse, $22; skull scarf, $15
